Wahkon Baseball Team, circa 1910

Wahkon Baseball Team circa 1910.  This postcard photograph was submitted by Marc Chambers, who is researching the surnames Eynon, Gish, and Knutson in Onamia.  The message on the back of the postcard was just basically idle chat chat written in a man's handwriting to his grandmiother who was a young single woman at the time.  Marc guesses that the sender was a friend of his grandmother or maybe a suitor.  The signature is initials and the message written gives no indication that the sender played for the team.  He you can help Marc identify this mystery, please write him at MChamb8598@aol.com.

Wahkon Children with Their Teacher.  Left to right: Ethel McCuaig, Hazel Bezanson, Stella Mattson, unknown Haggberg, Mildred Hiller, Peter Hiller, Melba Johnson (b. 2 May 1904), Leroy Hiller, Elfie Ash (Teacher), Leon Mornlau, Myrtle Cotton (John Cotton, her father, was the stagecoach driver for the area), Herbert Kielgas.  Date of the photo is probably about 1909 based on Melba's estimated age at that time.  Guess is that this is a Sunday School class, probably Presbyterian, since some of the children appear too young to be in public school.
